distant planets may see human shapes
and human shapes themselves will change.

this galaxy will be in a different place
and the molecules that were once our bodies
will be in unknown forms of life
reading poetry about

. . . Someday.

  1. Actually, I updated this poem in 2006. The revised version is online
    at this URL –

In the new version, an artwork is combined with the poem and there
is the illusion of smoky “steam” coming off the poem (a PhotoShop effect).
Also, many of the poems have accompanying dialogs in the spirit of
    Menippean satire.

I am finding that poetry alone is often not enough – yet when combined
in a synergetic way with art and dialog, sometimes a nice alchemy occurs.

Hoping to read some poetry in Nagoya sometime. Keep me posted!
