Sumo Haiku Trilogy by Joan Anglin

Sumo, that giant butt
Fleshy grand loins, fighting
To never land on the ground

Yokozuna you enter
In your kesho-mawashi
Where is the other half?

Gyoji always so close
Watch where the ozeki falls
He may land on you.

Just stumbled upon this page… is it still active? I’m a writer who’s just moved to Nagoya.

    Thanks
