Nagoya Writes Open Reading Review:
February 2012
At first I was worried of the turn out since so many members had
contacted me of conflicts with work and health. Yet in spite of that
there was a good turn out. 4 for the Critic & 6 Readers for the Reading.
The Critic
The Critic lead by Vash Bandy with Chambers, Maloney, Binford and Sussler.
First focusing on Ian Maloney’s short story, ‘ You pay your Money’
A good discussion of his character and plot development.
At the end we worked on a writing exercise ‘The Secret’.

It is what keeps our Open Readings alive.
As Tim said, Literary groups are fragile.
Without dedicated support,they are so easy to disappear. We are what each of us brings.
At the beginning of the Open Reading we had a discussion of the ‘Structure of the Nagoya
Writes’. The focus of ‘NW Structure ‘ is to make clear who is responsible for what.
At the end of the discussion we came to a unanimous decision to accept the proposal.
